On 8 May 2026, an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of Association of Voluntary Actions for Society (AVAS) was held to discuss several important organizational matters in light of the Executive Director’s upcoming overseas travel for medical treatment.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed ongoing projects and organizational activities and approved several new policies to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness. The meeting also approved the Executive Director’s leave, assigned temporary responsibilities during his absence, approved the creation of a new Deputy Executive Director position, and endorsed the updated organizational organogram.
At the end of the meeting, the Executive Director requested everyone’s prayers and best wishes for his treatment and safe recovery. The meeting concluded with constructive discussions and important decisions for the continued progress of the organization.
আজ ৮ মে ২০২৬ তারিখে এ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব ভলান্টারি এ্যাকশনস ফর সোসাইটি (আভাস)-এর কার্যনির্বাহী কমিটির এক জরুরি সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভায় নির্বাহী পরিচালকের চিকিৎসার উদ্দেশ্যে বিদেশ গমন উপলক্ষে বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সাংগঠনিক বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা ও সিদ্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয়।
সভায় চলমান বিভিন্ন প্রকল্প ও কার্যক্রমের অগ্রগতি পর্যালোচনা করা হয় এবং কার্যক্রমের গতিশীলতা ও সুশাসন নিশ্চিত করতে কয়েকটি নতুন নীতিমালা অনুমোদন করা হয়। এছাড়াও নির্বাহী পরিচালকের ছুটি অনুমোদন, তাঁর অনুপস্থিতিকালে অস্থায়ী দায়িত্ব প্রদান, নতুন উপ-নির্বাহী পরিচালকের পদ সৃষ্টি এবং সংশোধিত অর্গানোগ্রাম অনুমোদন করা হয়।
সভা শেষে নির্বাহী পরিচালক সকলের কাছে তাঁর সুস্থতা ও নিরাপদ চিকিৎসা যাত্রার জন্য দোয়া কামনা করেন। আন্তরিক আলোচনা ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের মধ্য দিয়ে সভার সমাপ্তি ঘটে।
